Prerequisites

You need to hold the ITIL V3 Foundation certificate to enrol for this course or the ITIL V2 Foundation and Foundation Bridge certificates in order to attend this course.

In addition, you must hold 15 further credits through successfully completing Service Lifecycle and/or Service Capability modules.

It is recommended that candidates accompany this course with at least 28 hours of personal study from the core ITIL lifecycle publications


Certification

Successful candidates obtain the ITIL V3 Expert certification.

The 90 minute exam contains 8 multiple choice, gradient scored questions with a pass mark of 28 correct answers from 40 (70%).

Understanding the key considerations for planning and implementing IT service management. Using the Deming Cycle and the 4 P’s of Service Strategy

Understanding Organisational Challenges

How to review and solve organisational challenges for implementing IT service management

Day Three

Risk Management

Managing IT and project risks. The identification, evaluation and analysis of risk and the implications to IT service management

Service Assessment

Learn why to measure service performance and what to measure. Linking reporting to improvement activities

Day Four

Complimentary Industry Guidance

Review all complimentary guidance and tools including ISO/IEC 20000, COBIT™, CMMI and Six Sigma

Exam Preparation

A period for any last minute revision with the trainer present. A full mock paper is also taken before the full exam
