2011 ITIL Updates.
Now available.
What’s changed?
The 5 core Service Lifecycle books have all been updated (Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation and Continual Service Improvement). The new books are updates, rather than a new version.
The updates come as a direct result of feedback from readers around the world. The books are now easier to read, understand and relate to one another.
The Service Strategy book has the largest number of updates which makes it clearer, more concise and more accessible. The concepts themselves however have not been simplified in any way; only their explanations have been re-organised and are now more clearly described.
What happens to the ITIL qualifications?
Training courses and exams based on updated syllabus from the 2011 titles are available from the 8th August.
Like the books, the updates serve to better organise the content of ITIL and explain concepts with greater clarity.
So, there’s no need to update qualifications you already hold.
